Hamburger Evron & Co.

Pro Bono

The firm believes that education is the key to a better future. Education bridges the gap between the rich and the poor and allows the underprivileged to achieve whatever they wish and become productive citizens. With the goal of affording opportunity through better education to the less privileged the firm supports various educational frameworks:

"Shiur Acher"

The lawyers and interns of the firm are also actively involved in "Shiur Acher" (A Different Lesson) by providing lessons related to areas of law to pupils in the lower socioeconomic areas of the city. This includes preparing the students for an exciting staged court case which constitutes the peak of the annual activity. Shiur Acher was founded in 2002 and promotes civic involvement and social responsibility by enlisting volunteers to teach courses in their area of specialization in Israeli schools. In the 2005/2006 school year, Shiur Acher reached over 1,700 students with 68 courses, delivered by 480 volunteers, in 34 schools. Our firm joined the program in 2006 and we are continuing during the next school year.

The Youth Renewal Fund was established in 1989 to provide supplemental education to underprivileged Israeli youth. In Israel, parents with financial means enroll their children in private supplemental programs. Children whose parents cannot afford these programs get an education that is markedly inferior. These are the students that Youth Renewal Fund helps by increasing study level and inserting additional programs to the schools.

Amnon Sorek, A partner of the firm, serves as the Chairman of the Board of the YRF Foundation, and in addition the firm also provides financial contributions and pro bono legal services.
